Me & my friends have been going here for brunch once a month regularly for a while. Everything is great here EXCEPT for their regular coffee. I cloud barely drink 1/2 of my cup. I tried it 2x and it was the same. It tastes like a week old coffee. Staff is nice and food is yummy! We will continue to return, but I'll have a espresso drink instead.

I can't believe they charge for refills for already overpriced coffee.  The other location may be more crowded, but at least they keep the coffee coming.

That said, the food, while a little pricey, is pretty good.  I still miss the Coffee Table on Rowena.

Pro Tip: When you walk into a restaurant in Silverlake, at peak brunch time and there's no wait- that should tell you something. I should have listened to my gut and turned around.

I have come here before, as it's right down the street and I can tell you, it's totally declined. Note: declined from slightly above average. And this is a $50.00 brunch, I might add (yes, I am the dingdong who pays that, no more)

This weekend, on top of the subpar food, we got filthy menus. Like smeared with avocado. We got said menus after sitting for 15 mins in an empty restaurant, 10 mins later, guy comes over to get drink order, 10 mins later we get said drinks, 10 mins later-food order. Are you sensing a theme yet? After we get our food order, it's wrong and he's forgotten an entire dish. I'd love to tell him, except he NEVER CAME BACK to ask. After waiting an eternity to get the check, and another eternity to get him to come back and get it, we walk in to pay it. Yes, he could have been having a bad day but bad service and mediocre food seems to be the theme here.

I guess I'll cook at home from now on.

1 Star for other the sweet waiter who ran the check for us and was a great bundle of joy and energy.

1 Star for the smashed potatoes.

    Ok, a few things...
I like this place, however I come from a time and I place where "coffee shop" meant a place to drink coffee, have light fare and have a sense of community and meet ppl. This place inexplicably closes at 3p. Always ends up cutting meeting short or forcing a move to another local spot. Ok, maybe they aren't just a coffee shop, but you get that vibe there. Food is pretty good and they make their own almond milk. Prices are typical for $ilverlake. I saw someone post about the cost of drip coffee refills and I couldn't agree more- charge full price for another latte or specialty drink, but drip coffee that's already $3+ bucks? C'mon. What we need a REAL coffee shop in the Franklin Hills / Silverlake / Los Feliz Knolls. Starbucks doesn't count, but a least they stay open until 9p.
